Himalayan Sherpas in the semi-finals
Simara: Himalayan Sherpa Club has entered the semi-finals of the Jagdamba 13th Simara Gold Cup by overturning the initial lead of Satdobato Youth Club. In the match held on Monday at Simara Stadium, Satdobato, who is at the top of the A Division League, was defeated by Sherpa, who is in tenth place, by 2-1.
Sushil Rai and Abayomi scored while giving Sherpa an important victory. Captain Sudeep Gurung scored for Satdobato.
Sherpa, who wasted many opportunities against Satdobato, scored a great goal in the last minute of the match and turned the result in favor. Abiyomi scored with an attractive header on the cross ball of Sherpa’s Satyam Sharma. The opposition goalkeeper Nishan Thapa Magar failed to control his header ball. In the last quarter final match of the tournament, Church Boys United and Nepal APF Club of A Division will face each other on Tuesday. APF is the runner-up of the 12th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup.
