Inter school taekwondo competition started in Simara
Simara: An inter-school taekwondo competition has started on Friday at Simara in Bara. The competition has started at the Royal Event Management Venue located at Jeetpursimara 2.
The competition organized by New Simara Taekwondo Dojang was inaugurated by Chief District Officer of Bara Nawaraj Sapkota. Inaugurating the competition, Chief District Officer Sapkota said that the sports sector has an important contribution to the overall development of the country.
150 athletes from different schools of Bara, Makwanpur and Mahottari will participate in the competition in 24 weight groups. Bijay Shah Thakuri, President of New Simara Taekwondo Dojang informed that the competition will end on Friday evening. Ruwan Thapa facilitated the opening ceremony under the chairmanship of Thakuri. Madhes Province General Secretary of Taekwondo Association, Lama, gave a welcome speech at the event.
