Pedestrian killed in Simara due to vehicle collision
Simara: A pedestrian died in a car collision in Simara on Wednesday night. A pedestrian died on the spot when a vehicle hit him in front of a petrol pump near Surya Nepal in Simara under the Pathlaiya-Birgunj route.
The identity of the dead pedestrian has not been released. According to the locals, the pedestrian was hit by a bus and Tata Sumo.
Eyewitnesses have informed that the pedestrian who was hit by the bus and fell down on the road was hit by a sumo coming from behind. Both vehicles, which were going from Simara to Birgunj, fled after the incident.
The police team of area police office Simara picked up the body from the spot and took it to Birgunj. Police are searching for the vehicle involved in the collision.
