Jeetpursimara Goldcup: Machhindra Football Club enters in the final

Simara: Machhindra Football Club enters in the final of the 15th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup. In the first semifinal match, which was held at the Simara stadium on Tuesday night, Machhindra defeated Hanami BFC Bharatpur by 1-0.

In the previous 14th edition, Machhindra also reached the final, but Nepal Police Club defeated them in the final, claiming the title.

Anil Rana Magar scored the decisive goal for Machhindra. His goal in the 68th minute turned out to be the match-winner. Machhindra’s Rejin Subba was declared the Green Energy Player of the Match.

He received a cash prize of Rs.10,000. Sub Inspector of Police at the Simara Area Police Office, Subhadra Lama Waiba, and Shailesh Shah Thakuri, the director of Green Energy Industries, presented the award to Rejin.

The second semifinal match of the competition will be held on Wednesday. The match between the host team, Nawa Janajagriti Yuwa Club, and Himalayan Sherpa Club will take place at Simara stadium at 6:00 PM.
