Machhindra and Himalayan Sherpa Set for Title Clash in Jeetpursimara Gold Cup Final

Simara: A division teams Machhindra Football Club and Himalayan Sherpa Club will face off on Friday night for the title of the 15th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup. The final match between the two sides will take place at 6 PM at the Simara Stadium in Bara.
Machhindra will be playing in the Jeetpursimara Gold Cup final for the second time, while Sherpa is making their fourth appearance in the final. Sherpa has lifted the Jeetpursimara Gold Cup title once and finished as runners-up twice. They won the title in the second edition of the tournament and were runners-up in the 13th and 4th editions.
Machhindra, on the other hand, were runners-up in the previous edition, defeated by Nepal Police Club in the final last year.
After already winning the KP Oli Cup, Itahari Gold Cup, and Kapilvastu Tilaurakot Gold Cup, Machhindra is eager to add the Jeetpursimara Gold Cup to their list of titles. Machhindra’s head coach, Santosh Neupane, has expressed confidence that his team will return home with the title this time.
Speaking at the pre-match conference held at the Simara Stadium, Neupane stated that he is confident about winning their fourth title of the year. Machhindra captain Rejin Subba also said that they will enter the field with high morale and are determined to lift the trophy.
On the other hand, Himalayan Sherpa is aiming to win the tournament title for the second time. If they succeed, it would be Sherpa’s first title win of the year.

Sherpa’s head coach, Prajwal Pratap Kshetri, said that his team is entering the match with the goal of securing their first title of the year. Sherpa captain Bishwas Shrestha also expressed confidence in winning the title.
According to Ram Chandra Lama, President of the organizing club, Nawa Janajagruti Youth Club, the closing ceremony of the tournament will be attended by former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
