Bara Defeats Makwanpur by seven Wickets in Second Jeetpursimara Cricket Cup

Simara: In the second edition of Jeetpursimara Cricket Cup tournament, Bara won the second day match. On Sunday, Bara defeated Makwanpur by seven wickets.

Winning the toss at the Sej Cricket Ground, Makwanpur choose to bat first and scored 150 runs, losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Makwanpur, Yubin Budhathoki scored the most with 46 runs. Yubin, narrowly missing his half-century by four runs, was sent back to the pavilion by Siraj Hawari.

For Makwanpur, Bishal Phuyal scored 31, Shub Kanskhar 24, Ramesh Luintel 18, and captain Ramnaresh Giri 11 runs.

In bowling, Bara’s Siraj Hawari took four wickets. Allowing 31 runs in four overs. Aashik Baitha took three wickets and captain Araniko Yadav took one wicket.

Chasing the target of 151 runs given by Makwanpur, Bara clinched victory in 18.1 overs. Tritraj Das hit 51 runs, scoring a half-century in Bara’s victory. Likewise, Rohan Sah scored 31, Adil Ansari remained unbeaten with 22, and Araniko Yadav scored 21 runs.

Siraj was declared the player of the match for taking four wickets in Bara’s win. He was awarded by Bhojbahadur Khatri (Ishwar), the spokesperson of the Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city.

On Monday, a match will be held between Jeetpursimara Cricket Club and United Cricket Club Birgunj.
