Body of Missing Boy Found in Pit Water
Sarlahi: A child has died after drowning in a pit dug for road construction in Sarlahi. The deceased has been identified as 6-year-old Sushant Yadav from Janakinagar 1, Haripur Municipality.
According to police, Yadav had been missing since around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. During the search, his body was found around 11 p.m. in a water-filled pit dug by a JCB machine for road construction, approximately 500 meters southeast of his home.
The body has been taken to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa for post-mortem examination.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, said Police Inspector Niranjan Bhattarai of the Area Police Office, Barhathawa.
