Ghishing appointed as member of Asian Taekwondo Union’s Coach Committee

Simara: Kumar Lama Ghishing, a former member of the National Sports Council and an international Taekwondo referee, has been appointed as a member of the Coaches Committee of the Asian Taekwondo Union.

Ghishing, who is also a central committee member of the Nepal Taekwondo Association, has been given the responsibility for the year 2026.

According to the Asian Taekwondo Union, his appointment will be effective from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The appointment letter was handed over during the closing ceremony of a Referee Refresher and Seminar Program held in Kathmandu.

The certificate was presented by Siddhi Byanjankar, Chief Advisor to the Ministry of Sports. The event was attended by Nepal Taekwondo Association President Deepraj Gurung and several other sports personalities.

Active in the field of Taekwondo since 2050 BS, Ghishing has built a successful career as a player, coach, and international referee. He has also served on the central executive committee of the Nepal Taekwondo Association for two terms.
