Former Teacher Loses Life in Janakpur House Fire
Janakpur: An elderly man lost his life in a sudden fire that broke out at a house in Ramanandachok, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-8.
The victim has been identified as 70-year-old former teacher Kishori Sahani, a native of Mahottari who was currently living in Janakpur.
According to locals, the fire started unexpectedly on Saturday night while all family members were asleep. While the other family members managed to escape safely, Sahani got caught in the flames after reportedly falling down while trying to flee.
Police suspect that an electrical short circuit may have caused the accident. The District Police Office of Dhanusha stated that further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
