10-Year-Old Boy Dies of Electric Shock in Bara, Four Others Injured
Simara: A ten-year-old boy tragically died from an electric shock on Friday in Kolhabi municipality, Bara district, while four other people sustained injuries while attempting to rescue him.
According to the District Police Office, the victim has been identified as Akash Ram, a resident of Juguwa in Kolhabi Municipality-3. The incident occurred when the boy suffered a severe electric shock from a short-circuited wire while attempting to turn on a television. Although he was rushed to the hospital immediately, attending physicians declared him dead upon arrival.
Bara Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Min Bahadur Ghale, stated that four individuals were injured while trying to pull the boy away from the live current.
The injured include the victim’s 70-year-old grandmother Etabariya Ram, his 12-year-old sister Nilam Ram, local resident Phulkumari Ram, and 41-year-old Anita Sharma. All four injured persons are currently undergoing medical treatment at the Tamagadhi Hospital in Kolhabi, where their conditions are being monitored.
