Nijgadh: CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary and Central Publicity Department Chief Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the wave of people seen in UML across the country is the result of people-oriented work. Gurung said that the UML was the only party working for the country and the people.
Addressing an election strategic meeting organized by Press Chautari Nepal Madhes Pradesh Committee in Nijgadh on Tuesday targeting the local level election, Gurung, who is also the former Chief Minister of Gandaki Pradesh, said that the people liked the work done by the UML-led government. He said that his party was now in a strong position in Madhes, which was trying to weaken the UML.
‘Some parties were and still are active in politics in Madhes by showing UML as weak. But now the UML is in a strong position, ”said Gurung. Everyone understands that development is possible only through UML. That is why the number of UML candidates has increased across the country. ‘
Leader Gurung said that the people of Madhes would evaluate the work done by the KP Oli-led government. Gurung said that the people liked the plan put forward by the UML for the overall development of Madhes.
Addressing the gathering for more than an hour, Gurung said that the development of Madhes was indispensable for the development of the country. “Madhes, which has many characteristics and history, is an important state in itself,” he said. “The development of this state is interrelated with the development of other states.” Therefore, UML has given priority to the development of this state. ‘
On the occasion, UML Publicity Department Deputy Chief Bishnu Rijal said that it was important for every citizen of Madhes to understand the work done by the UML-led government. Rijal urged the people to carry the list of work done by the UML. Rijal has claimed that every citizen who sees the wave of people in favor of UML and the list of work done by UML will vote for UML.
In the program organized by Press Chautari Nepal Bara, Press Chautari Nepal Central Chairman Ganesh Basnet, members of Publicity Department Gagan Bista, Mahesh Das, Chetan Adhikari, Central General Secretary Hiraman Lama, Central Secretary Kamal Kumar Upadhyay, Central Member Shweta Sinha, Deputy Chief of Nijgadh Municipality Liladevi Lamichhane Khanal and others had stressed that the strategy and agenda of Chautari and UML should be people-oriented in the upcoming election.
On the occasion, UML leader Gurung inaugurated the online magazine ‘PCN Madhes’, which is being run by Press Chautari Nepal Madhes Pradesh. The committee has brought online activities to give space to the activities of Madhes Pradesh.
At the same event, the money announced by Press Chautari Nepal Bara to help cancer victims was handed over. Rs 10,555 has been handed over to the wife of Radhakrishna Sapkota of Nijgadh-2 who is undergoing treatment for cancer. The amount was handed over by UML Central Publicity Department Chief Gurung.
Similarly, Madhes Pradesh Committee honored Central Publicity Department member Mahesh Das at the program. Also honored Anup Tiwari, elected president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists in Parsa district from Press Chautari Nepal. During the program, Press Chautari Nepal and CPN-UML district representatives from all the eight districts of the state briefed the Central Publicity Department about the situation in the district in the upcoming election.
