All Nepal Women’s Association sworn in , Liaison office inauguration
Simara: The swearing in of the All Nepal Women’s Association Jitpursimara Municipal Committee near the CPN-UML has been completed. Officials elected from the first convention of the association have taken oath.
CPN-UML central member and Bara district deputy in-charge Saraswati Devi Chaudhary administered the oath of office to the committee members and office bearers. Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, Chaudhary urged the party to move ahead in a strong manner to win the local elections.
Chaudhary, who is also the city deputy chief of Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city, said that no force could defeat the UML in the local elections if the women within the city were committed. She urged the association to play a role in increasing the representation of women in the town and ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Dev Narayan Chaudhary, former chairman of UML Bara and member of the state committee, said that UML should win in Jitpursimara with more people’s representatives than in the previous election. Chaudhary stressed on the need to make the UML’s campaign effective in towns, wards and toles to win the UML.
UML Bara Secretariat member Manoj Poudel suggested the association to play a leading role in women’s empowerment. Stating that the association has an important role to play in empowering women in the city, Poudel said that the party is ready to help in this regard.
Leader Poudel said that it was important for the UML to win the upcoming local elections in Jitpursimara with a majority. Poudel said that the entire party ranks and cadres should be aware of the issue as other parties were active in defeating the UML by defeating it due to its minority vote in the last election.
