Oath taken by the elected Municipal Chief in Bara

Simara: The elected municipal chief of Bara has been sworn in on Sunday. District Judge and Chief Election Officer Khil Nath Regmi administered the oath  to the elected representatives of the sub-metropolitan, municipal and village councils.

Chiefs of 10 out of 15 local levels of the district were present at the program organized at the District Court in Kalaiya. Giving oath to the present chief and chairman, Regmi suggested to dedicate oneself to the service of the people.

Chief District Officer of Bara Krishna Bahadur Katuwal, Assistant Chief District Officer Shivaraj Sedhai, District Election Officer Saroj Chaudhary, Chief of Security Forces and Election Officers of various Municipalities were present on the occasion.

Out of the 16 local levels of the district, the final results of 15 local levels have been declared so far and counting of votes is underway in Pacharauta Municipality. The election of wards 2 and 4 of Pacharauta has been postponed due to dispute. The final results of the counting of votes, which started after the re-election in the two wards on 4th Jestha, are yet to come.
