Distribution of blankets to 35 needy families
Kalaiya: Rural upliftment campaign has distributed blankets during a program in Kalaiya sub-metropolitan city 23 on Monday. Rural upliftment campaign located in Kalaiya 4 distributed the blankets.
The organization distributed blankets to 35 families including Srikanti Devi, Shivdhari Devi Kurmin, Baby Devi Kanu, Olesa Khatun, Amirin Netuin, Anjudevi, Poonam Mahara Chamain, Sita Devi Kanu, who were affected by the cold wave. The life of the Terai has been affected due to cold waves.
Mokdam Ansari, founder president of Rural upliftment campaign, said blankets were distributed to citizens of Dalit, poor, helpless and marginalized communities. According to Ansari, the organization has been working for the rights of that community since 2054.
