Jeetpursimara Gold Cup: Himalayan Sherpa reached in Final

Simara: Himalayan Sherpa Club has entered the final of the 15th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup by stunning the organizer club. In the second semi-final held on Wednesday night at Simara Stadium, Sherpa defeated the host club, Nawa Janajagriti Youth Club, by 2–1 to secure their spot in the final.
Sherpa took the lead in the 48th minute through a goal by Robert Khongjoh. His shot deflected off a player from the host team before ending up in the back of the net. Later, Sameer Raj Thokar scored the second goal for Sherpa.
Despite continuously creating chances against Sherpa, the hosts managed to pull one back in the 73rd minute. Yuvraj Khadka scored to bring the game to 2–1, giving his team a chance to get back into the match.
Robert Khongjoh of Sherpa was declared the “Green Energy Player of the Match.” He received a cash prize of NPR 10,000. The award was presented by Utsav Naral of VXL Education and Shailesh Shah Thakuri of Green Energy.
In the final, Sherpa will face Machhindra Football Club, who have already secured their spot by defeating Hanami BFC Bharatpur.
