Numb from friendship
*I was in a circle of friend where love should be,
But from the start, it was empty, not free.
Your words called my name, but your heart stayed far,
leaving me alone, beneath a cold star,
*I waited for care, for warmth, for light
but all I found was silence in the night.
You told me you loved me, yet never did show,
And now all I feel is sorrow and woe.
*The dreams I had were torn apart,
like pieces of a broken heart.
I tried to trust, but the lies were too strong,
and in the quiet, I was left to belongs.
*I search for comfort, for a place to hide,
but your actions left me, nowhere to confide.
Your love was a shadow, always out of reach.
Leaving me with nothing but lesson to teach.
*I began to wonder what I did wrong,
why was I left to face the storm alone and strong ?
Was I too much or just too small ?
Why did I fall when I gave my all ?
*But now I see, through all the pain,
I will learn to rise and live again,
for even you didn’t understand or didn’t care.
I will find my way and breath the air.
*No more I will wait for love to show,
I will walk my path, and let myself grow.
The hurt may stay, but it won’t define,
I will be okay, and always ready to shine.
