A three-year-old boy died after a snake bite

Sarlahi: A three-year-old boy died after a snake bite in Laxmipur of Kaudena Rural Municipality 1 Sarlahi on Wednesday evening.
The child has been identified as Aditya Giri, the son of local resident Rabindra Giri. According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the boy was bitten by a snake while he was playing on the balcony of his house.
Soon after the snake bite, his family rushed him to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead at around 8 PM during treatment.
After the boy’s death, angry relatives accused doctors of negligence and created disturbance by throwing stones and shouting inside the hospital premises.
To control the tense situation, a special team of 25 police personnel from the District Police Office, Sarlahi, was deployed at the hospital. The situation later became normal after police talked with the family members.
Police spokesperson Saroj Rai said that after completing the necessary legal procedures, the child’s body was handed over to the family on the same night.
