Surya Nepal Hands Over Fire Engine to Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City
Simara: Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. located in Simara, Bara, handed over a fire engine to the office of the Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City on Wednesday. Factory Manager Suresh Kaji Shrestha officially handed over the keys of the fire engine to Mayor Rajan Paudel.
Speaking at the event, Manager Shrestha stated that the fire engine was provided to help control potential fire risks and hazards. Emphasizing that the factory is deeply responsible toward society, Shrestha said they are ready to work in the fields of education, health, and art under their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. He also shared that the factory has been supporting the sub-metropolitan office and other local bodies in the past as well.
Back in 2079 BS, Surya Nepal constructed a birthing center in Jeetpur and handed it over to the sub-metropolitan city. Following that, they donated a dialysis machine to the Jeetpursimara City Hospital.
Shrestha shared that preparations are now underway to hand over a C-arm machine and an anesthesia table to the city hospital, which is preparing to come into full operation. He added that since a modern surgery room is also needed at the hospital, work is progressing toward that goal as well.
The factory has been extending support not just to the sub-metropolitan office, but to various government offices and schools as well.
Last year, after the Area Administration Office in Simara was damaged during protests, the factory provided computers and printers to help them resume services. Additionally, the factory has been providing model smart boards and digital smart boards to various local schools.
Receiving the keys to the fire engine, Mayor Rajan Paudel expressed his sincere gratitude to the factory. Praising Surya Nepal’s contribution to the development of education and health sectors in the sub-metropolitan area, he noted that their support has been vital in making the city hospital well-organized and technologically equipped.
The handover event was attended by Deputy Mayor Bhola Prasad Adhikari, sub-metropolitan under-secretaries Shivaji Prasad, Umesh Wagle, Hari Shankar Prasad Kurmi, and Abhay Kant Jha, Ward No. 3 Acting Chairperson Maya BK, Engineer Pushpa Singh, and staff members Uma Kant Paudel and Kapil Subedi. Representatives from Surya Nepal, including staff members Umesh Thapa, Sarvin Shrestha, and Yagya Bahadur Ale, were also present at the ceremony.
