Election Officer’s office has been moved from Pathlaiya
Simara: The office of the Election Officer of Bara Region No. 4 has been shifted to Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City on Friday for the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections to be held on Mansir 4.
The election officer’s office, which was inaugurated on Thursday at the health training center in Pathlaiya, has been moved to the office of the sub-metropolitan city. Although the Election Commission has designated the office of Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city for area no. 4, it was set up in a health training center due to lack of room.
The day after the office was established in Pathlaiya, the office was moved to Jitpur after the sub-metropolitan city provided a room. The office established in the sub-metropolitan city was inaugurated by city chief Rajan Paudel.
Electoral Officer Karna Bahadur Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Timilsina, Ward President Bhoj Bahadur Khatri and others were present in the inauguration program.
There are seven employees including the Election Officer in the Election Officer’s office. The office has Assistant Election Officer Sagar Bhandari, Assistant Staff Santosh Chaudhary along with Computer Operator, Accountant and Office Assistant. Seven armed policemen have been deployed for the security of the office.
