Health insurance amount handing over to Khatiwada
Simara: Mass Communication Authority Madhes Pradesh Chairman Shyamsundar Yadav handed over the health insurance amount to Ranjana Khatiwada, a media worker of Bara Simara, on Thursday. Yadav handed over a cheque of 26 thousand 673 rupees to Khatiwada.
Khatiwada, who underwent surgery for a tumor on her back last Baisakh, received the amount through insurance. The Mass Communication Authority had insured more than one hundred female journalists of Madhes province in the financial year 2079-80.
Funds have been transferred to Khatiwada under the insurance program initiated by the authority. Khatiwada is the first female journalist to benefit from the insurance program of the authority.
Handing over the cheque to Khatiwada, Chairman Yadav said that the insurance program started last year aimed at women journalists has been continued.
Central Secretary of Press Chautari Nepal Kamal Kumar Upadhyay, President of Nepal Journalist Federation Bara Resham Tiwari, President of Press Chautari Nepal Bara Diwakar Bhandari, President of Nepal Sports Journalist Forum Sunil Gaule, acting head of National Insurance Institute Janakpurdham and others were present in the check handing program.
