Simara: A businessman of Bara Pachrauta filed a complaint with the police after the metal he had bought as gold was brass. 37-year-old Meraj Ansari of Pacharauta Municipality 5, Beldari Karamwa, filed a complaint at the District Police Office Bara on Thursday saying that he was cheated.
On Mansir 16, Ansari, who was running a grocery store business, bought five biscuits of 10/10 grams as gold for 4 lakh 25 thousand. Ansari went to the police office seeking justice when the biscuit, which he had bought as gold, broke out while trying to make jewellery.
Ansari has mentioned in the police report that he bought the metal with 40-year-old Binay Tharu Chaudhary, a resident of Baragadhi Rural Municipality 2 Daurawa. Ansari informed the police that his acquaintance Rajendra Mahato of Mahagadhimai 9 met Tharu and Tharu sold the metal to him as gold. After getting the information that he was cheated, Ansari filed a fraud case against Chaudhary.
