Jeetpursimara Gold Cup: Machhindra enters in Final

Simara: Machhindra Football Club has entered the finals of the 14th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup. In the first semi-final match held at Simara Stadium on Friday night, Machhindra came close to the title after defeating Siraha’s Salhesh Yuwa Club 2-0.

Bimal Gharti Magar and Debendra Tamang scored one goal each to make Machhindra in the title race, who came to play the Jeetpursimara Gold Cup after 10 years. Machhindra scored both goals in the first half of the match.

The second half was also not pleasant for Salhesh. Salhesh was under pressure most of the time as they could not take advantage of some opportunities created against Machhindra.

In the second half, Machhindra, who played under pressure from Salhesh, could not score, but managed to make the result in their favor.

Bimal, who scored a goal in Machhindra’s victory, was declared the player of the match. He won the prize of Rs 10,000 sponsored by Shubharambha College.

The second semi-final match between Police and APF will be held on Saturday.
