1st Amlekhgunj Chakri Karate Competition completed

Simara: The first Amlekhgunj Chakri Karate competition was completed on Saturday at Amlekhgunj located in Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city 21. The program was completed with the support of Ward No. 21 office and Nepal Madhesi Upliftment Society.

Subhas Shrestha, ward president of Jeetpursimara 21, inaugurated the competition. Inaugurating the program, Ward President Shrestha said that the ward is conducting various programs for the development of sports and such programs will continue in the coming year.

The opening ceremony of the competition held under the chairmanship of Sunil Sah, president of Madhesi Upliftment Society, was attended by former village president Bharat Bahadur Ghale, district sports development committee chief Hemlal Shrestha, senior karate trainer Gagan Lama, former ward president of Jeetpursimara 22 Manikalal Thing, ward secretary Jiwan Kumar Chhetri and others.

Players from various dojos participated in the competition held at the ward office premises. The winners and runners-up of the competition were awarded by the guests including the ward president.

On that occasion, various personalities who contributed to the development of karate were honored.
