Drinking Water Being Distributed by Fire Trucks in Madhes

Simara: The Madhes Province Disaster Management Executive Committee has decided to supply water through water tanks to address the drinking water crisis in various areas of Madhes, including Bara and Parsa.
On Wednesday, eight water tanks, each with a capacity of 5,000 liters and provided by the provincial government, were sent to Birgunj.
According to Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh, these water tanks will operate 24 hours a day in areas facing drinking water shortages. The Nepalese Army will be responsible for managing the water tanks and ensuring water supply. It has also been reported that the army is preparing to deploy an additional seven tankers for the purpose.
Previously, the Department of Forests had been supplying drinking water to drought-affected areas using three tankers.
