Journalist Prajapati has committed suicide
Rautahat: Journalist Rabindra Prajapati has committed suicide. The 28-year-old Prajapati, a resident of Katahariya Municipality 5, hanged himself at his own home on Saturday night.
Prajapati was working in Musical Fm located in Katahariya Market. According to DSP Rajan Karki of the Garuda Area Police Office, Prajapati’s body was found hanging from the roof with a rope around his neck at his home.
Family members broke down the door and cut the rope to take him to Grandy Hospital in Garuda for treatment, but the doctors at Grandy Hospital declared him dead.
According to the police, Prajapati was under stress. Katahariya Municipality Mayor Jayaprakash Jaiswal had threatened him over a news story. The police suspect that he may have taken his own life due to the stress.
The police have informed that the deceased’s body has been kept at the government hospital in Gaur, the district headquarters, for post-mortem.
