Dead body found in Sarlahi, Investigation is ongoing

Sarlahi: A dead body of a man was found near the Nepal-India border in Sarlahi district on Tuesday.
According to police, the body was found in the Dasgaja area near Sitalpur Tole of Parsa Rural Municipality 1 during a regular patrol by a team from the Sangrampur Area Police Office. The man is believed to be around 45 to 50 years old.
Police said the identity and address of the deceased are still unknown.
After the body was found, a special police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai from the District Police Office, Sarlahi, reached the site for further investigation.
Police said the body was sent to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa on Tuesday evening for postmortem after completing legal procedures.
Although police have not found clear proof of the man’s identity, the bracelet on his hand had the name ‘Jagan Raut’ written on it. Police also recovered an Indian 10 rupee note and a 2 rupee coin from his pocket.
Police said further investigation into the case is ongoing.
