Gurung, the only woman ward chairperson of the district, made two decisions during her reinstatement
Simara: Chayan Gurung, the only woman ward chairperson of Bara, has taken charge in the office of Jeetpursimara Sub-metropolis-14. Gurung, who was reinstated in the midst of a formal program, has decided to give priority to snake bite patients and pregnant women.
Gurung, who was elected from Jeetpursimara-14 out of 167 wards of the district by a wide margin on behalf of the CPN-UML, has decided to provide Rs 10,000 for the treatment of snake bite patients and Rs 5,000 for nutritional food for pregnant women up to two children.
All the elected ward members in the ward have agreed with Gurung’s decision. Stating that her tenure will be focused on the development of the ward, Gurung said that she will move ahead by incorporating the suggestions of all the political parties and the people of the ward.
CPN-UML Politburo Member Jwala kumari Sah, newly elected Deputy Chief of Jeetpursimara Bhola Prasad Adhikari, CPN-UML State Committee Member Devnarayan Chaudhary, Janata Samajwadi Party Central Member Bharat Khadka, CPN-Maoist Central Ward Chairman Candidate Bharat Bahadur Bhandari and other leaders and activists of various political parties were present on the occasion.
Yamnath Dhakal, Tej Narayan Chaudhary, Rampati Tharuni and Gita Sarki have been elected as ward members in the ward.
