Illegal Gutkha worth 14 lakhs seized by Bara police
Simara: Gutkha worth 14 lakhs was seized by police from India to Nepal after evading customs. The police seized Rajnigandha Gutkha from Nitanpur under the Pathalaiya-Birgunj trade route.
According to the district police office, Bara, during the vehicle check on the highway, gutkha of that quantity was recovered from the truck No. 6Kha 7258 which was coming from Birgunj towards Pathlaiya.
After it was confirmed that they were illegally importing Gutkha, the police also arrested Nakul Pariyar, 35 years old of Dhading Rorang Village-5, who was driving the truck along with it.
The police have taken the truck and the driver to the customs office at Birgunj.
