One arrested with fake Nepali notes, Rs.82,500 seized
Simara: Bara police have arrested one person with fake Nepali notes. Simraungarh Municipality Ward No.5 of Bara, Police arrested Jagdev Mahato Nunia from Kanakpur with 82,500 fake notes.
The police recovered 80 pieces of 1000 and 503 pieces of fake notes hidden in Mahato’s house in Kanakpur. Bara Superintendent of Police Hobindra Bogti said that Mahato had hidden the note inside a fishing net in his bed.
The police held a press conference and released Mahato with fake notes. Superintendent of Police Bogti informed that Mahato has been detained and further investigation is being conducted as it appears that others may be involved in the fake currency transaction.
