Simara: Police rescued 11 hostages in Raxaul, India. The Indian police team led by Police Inspector Manoj Kumar Sharma rescued eight women and three men who were held hostage in Raxaul.
According to the police, they were called at various times under the pretext of offering marketing work with good salary and were kept hostage. Seven of the eight rescued by the joint team of ASTU SSB Raxaul are from Jharkhand and one from Bengal.
The Raxaul police started a rescue operation after the mother of the victim from Jharkhand informed Inspector Sharma that her daughter was being held hostage in Raxaul. The police followed the location of the mobile and reached the place where the victim was held hostage and rescued her.
In the rescue operation, police inspector Sharma of anti-trafficking unit area Betiya office 47th unit Raxaul along with sub divisional police officer, Raxaul district magistrate, Bihar police, armed forces justice center project East Champaran and other teams participated in the rescue operation. The team has arrested two of the five people who were active in holding the young woman and young man hostage and has started searching for the others.
The rescued girls have stated that they were sexually abused by the perpetrator. According to the police, the girl gave a statement that the perpetrator demanded 12,000 rupees for her release, and when she could not pay the money, he gave her medicine and sexually abused her. The hostage-taker demanded 20,000 cash from the victim.
