A 15-bed hospital has been laid in Simara, services will start immediately from the health center
Simara: The foundation stone of a 15-bed hospital has been laid in the premises of the primary health center located in Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city ward no 2. The foundation stone was laid with the aim of converting the primary health center into a hospital.
According to the federal government’s concept of building a hospital at each local level, under the leadership of the outgoing city chief Dr. Krishna Poudel, the sub-metropolitan city called for a tender for the hospital. Accepting the tender, the current city chief Rajan Paudel has started the construction of the hospital.
Bhawani Prasad Khapung, Minister of Health of the Government of Nepal, laid the foundation stone of the hospital. While laying the foundation stone of the hospital, Minister Khapung said that the ministry will take initiatives to maintain the posts. Minister Khapung said that the ministry is studying to maintain the necessary manpower positions for the 15-bed hospitals being built across the country.
With the foundation stone of the building, the sub-metropolitan municipality is going to start the service of the hospital in the infrastructure of the primary health center. According to Jitpursimara city chief Paudel, the service is ready to start within a month.
“The building of the hospital is being constructed, now we have prepared to start the service from the infrastructure of the health center,” said city chief Paudel with the inscription, “Manpower has also been demanded for that.” The service will start from that workforce.
The sub-metropolitan city has demanded 9 manpower including one MDGP qualified doctor, three medical officers, three staff nurses, one anesthesia and pharmacy assistant. City chief Paudel drew the attention of Minister Khapung to maintain the posts as soon as possible as the primary health center infrastructure will be started immediately from the resources of the sub-metropolitan city.
The sub-metropolitan city is also preparing to start kidney dialysis service from this year. According to Ravi Bhaskar, head of the health department of the sub-metropolitan city, the goal is to start the hospital service within a month and to start the dialysis service within a year. “It is possible to start the service of the hospital right now with the resources,” said Bhaskar, “We are preparing to work in such a way that the residents of the city get a sense.”
For the construction of the hospital, the sub-municipality has signed a contract with HPC Construction of Kathmandu for 20 crore 55 lakh. Sub-metropolitan engineer Abhaykant Jha told eShilalekh that facilities will be built on an area of about seven kattha.
In the groundbreaking ceremony, former labor minister Kisan Shrestha, outgoing provincial assembly member Sundar Vishwakarma, Shobha Lama, Jitpursimara city chief Rajan Paudel, deputy chief Bhola Prasad Adhikari, Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan ward no. 2 Ward President Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, Ward no. 7 Ward President Sunil Gupta, executive member Pralad Sah, Arjun Rasaili, Jitan Thakur of sub-metropolitan health branch, representatives of various political parties, people’s representatives and locals were present.
Balaram Khadka, planning officer of the sub-metropolitan city, facilitated the program under the chairmanship of city chief Paudel.
