Simara: The street lights of the Pathlaiya-Simara road section, which was stopped due to the lack of assurance of electricity tariff, were lit on Monday evening.

Rajan Poudel, the city head of Jitpursimara municipality and Bhola Prasad Adhikari, the deputy head, started it by lighting the electric lamp. The under-construction 6-lane Pathalaiya-Birgunj commercial road project was fueled by confusion over who would pay the electricity tariff for the lights installed on the road.

It has been agreed that the project will pay the fee for the lights lit on the said road section and the sub-metropolitan municipality will pay after handing over to the sub-metropolitan municipality. The lamp was lit in the middle of the program organized by Ward no.1 and ward no. 2 on the occasion of Ghatasthapana.

Ramu Shrestha, Head of Nepal Electricity Authority Simara Distribution Center, Manoj Poudel, Secretariat Member of CPN UML Bara, Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan Ward no. 2 Ward President Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, Ward no. 1 ward member Aman Lama, branch officer of Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city Sudan Chaudhary, outgoing executive committee member Shobha Karki, outgoing ward member Ramdas Dhouju and others were present.
