Pedestrians on Mechi-Mahakali walk tour reached Pathaliya

Simara: Five young trekkers who were on a Mechi-Mahakali walk with the aim of conducting an awareness campaign for environmental protection have arrived Pathlaiya. They started their journey of walking tour from Mechi Bridge on 23rd Chaitra.

Subas Subedi, Padam Bhandari, Umesh Rai, Dinesh Bhandari and Prakash Chaulagain from Damak are on a 60-day walk from Mechi to Mahakali, spreading the message of protecting the environment. They were welcomed in Pathlaiya with the slogan ‘Let’s plant 8 plants per person, contribute to environmental protection’.

Teachers, students of Nepal National Secondary School and locals welcomed them and wished them success in their journey. Earlier, they were also welcomed at Gauri Shankar Secondary School in Nijgadh.

They have taken the aim of conducting direct interviews with more than 12,000 during the walking tour and conveying the message of protecting the environment to more than 10 Lakh.
