A man from Bara was arrested for killing a snooker operator
Simara: A youth from Bara has been arrested by the police on the charge of murder in Shankhamul located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City 10. The arrested person is 22-year-old MK Kumar, who is a resident of Simraungadh Municipality 7 and is currently living in Kathmandu.
MK was arrested by the police from Kathmandu. He is accused of killing 41-year-old Rupak Bantwa Rai, a snooker operator who lived in Shankhamul, by hitting him with a sharp weapon. District Police Complex Kathmandu informed that sharp weapons were also recovered from MK’s room.
According to the police, due to a personal grudge MK shot Rai with a sharp weapon on Monday morning and escaped. After Rupak was found in a critical condition on his own snooker house sofa, he was taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment, but the doctor declared him dead. Immediately after the incident, the police were searching for the attacker.
The police said that the deceased Rai’s purse, glasses, bag and clothes were recovered from MK’s room.
