Madhesh University Employee Arrested for Harassing and Threatening Female Student
Birgunj: An employee of Madhesh University has been arrested by the District Police Office, Parsa, following allegations of harassing and threatening a female student.
The suspect, identified as Mohammad Raju Raut Gaddi, reportedly gained the student’s trust under the guise of offering academic assistance before escalating his behavior to sending inappropriate messages via phone and social media.
According to the victim’s complaint, Gaddi pressured her for an immoral relationship, offering academic favors if she complied while threatening to lower her exam marks and ruin her educational future if she refused.
Following the formal registration of the case at the District Administration Office on Chaitra 14, Gaddi had gone into hiding to evade authorities.
However, a police team successfully tracked him down and took him into custody. DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson for the District Police Office Parsa, confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated and a comprehensive investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the misconduct.
