Bagmati enters last eight by stunning Chitwan

Simara: Sarlahi’s Bagmati yuwa club enters in the last eight of the 12th Jeetpur Simara Gold Cup in Simara by stunning Bharatpur Football Club (BFC)  Chitwan. In the match played at Simara Stadium on Friday, Bagmati beat Chitwan 2-1 to reach the last eight.

Dinesh Chamling Rai and Pradip Lamsal, is also the organizer of Rajshree Cup scored one goal each in the victory of Bagmati. Roshan Chhetri scored for Chitwan.

Unable to maintain the lead in the game, Chitwan was forced to hand over the result to Bagmati. In the 15th  minute of the match, Roshan Chhetri of Chitwan scored an attractive goal to give the team the lead. Chhetri’s goal in the One Versus One position did not last long.

Bagmati equalized in the 23rd minute of the match. Dinesh Chamling Rai of Bagmati scored a brilliant goal from inside the box. Chitwan’s goalkeeper failed to control the Dinesh attack. Returning to the game with his excellent goal, Bagmati had an excellent performance in the first half.

Putting pressure on Chitwan, Bagmati missed some more chances in the first half. Despite the rhythm in the first half, Bagmati’s finishing side could not move after the equalizer. Chitwan, which could not maintain the lead, was under pressure. Despite making an excellent start against Bagmati, Chitwan seemed to be in search of coordination towards the end of the first half.

Competitive clash between the two teams of Mofasal was also seen in the second half. Both teams made an aggressive start in the second half of the flood light match. Chitwan also looked in rhythm in the second half. Both teams created opportunities in the second half but could not succeed.

In the 65th minute of the match, Johan of Chitwan wasted the opportunity to score. His attack could not take the direction of the post. While Chitwan wasted the opportunity, Bagmati was seen in the same rhythm. The finishing side of Bagmati was not successful.

Bagmati scored the goal in the 81st minute of the match. Pradip Lamsal scored the decisive goal for the team by striking from outside the box. The game of both the teams, which won the hearts of the spectators more than expected, became more competitive in the last time.

Both teams played aggressively in the last five minutes. But not being able to score, the result was in favor of Bagmati. Dinesh Chamling Rai of Bagmati was declared Man of the Match. He won five thousand hands including the trophy.

The competition will be played on Saturday between New Road Team (NRT) and Vijay Youth Club Hetauda. The winner of the ongoing competition organized by Nawa Janajagriti Youth Club will get Rs. 10 Lakhs and the runner-up will get Rs. 5 Lakhs. The competition will be conducted till Chaitra 19.
