Bara Court Orders Two Accused Minors to reform home in Three-Year-Old’s Rape and Murder Case
Simara: The District Court of Bara has ordered two minors, who are accused of the rape and murder of three-year-old Garima Chaudhary from Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City-1, to be sent to a reform home.
Judge Prakash Kumar Adhikari issued this order to keep both minors in the reform home until the final verdict of the case is reached.
Under the provisions of the Children’s Act 2075 and the National Criminal Procedure Code 2074, the court also ordered an immediate compensation of two lakh rupees to be provided to the victim’s family.
During the hearings, government attorneys, legal representatives of the plaintiff, and members of the District Bar Unit demanded strict pre-trial detention, calling the incident a planned abduction, rape, and murder.
After reviewing police reports, medical examinations, and polygraph test results, the judge made this decision keeping legal provisions and safety in mind.
Police have taken a total of twelve people into custody for the investigation. Because of the legal requirement to present minors in court within twenty-one days, only the two minor suspects were presented initially. Police have filed charges against them for kidnapping, hostage-taking, rape, and murder.
According to Bara Superintendent of Police Narendra Kunwar, preparations are underway to present the remaining ten suspects, including Progress Chaudhary, in court as well.
