Three Arrested in Parsa with Illegal Cannabis
Simara: Police arrested three individuals on Sunday night in Malahi Tole, Paterwasugauli Rural Municipality-1, Parsa, after recovering approximately 33 kilograms of illegal cannabis.
The suspects have been identified as local residents 50-years-old Mahesh Sahani, 34-years-old Nandalal Sahani and 75-years-old Bhuti Sahani.
A special team led by Police Inspector Samunnat Adhikari from the Area Police Office, Paterwasugauli, raided the area and took them into custody based on special information regarding ongoing illegal drug trade.
According to Spokesperson and Information Officer of the District Police Office Parsa, Chakra Bahadur Malla, security personnel had to fire two rounds of warning shots in the air to control a hostile situation that arose during the operation.
Police revealed that Bhuti Sahani was taken into custody after preliminary investigations confirmed his involvement in the offense.
All three suspects, along with the seized illicit substance, are currently being held at the Area Police Office as authorities intensify further investigation into potential links to other individuals involved in the network.
