The Municipal Assembly of Jitpursimara has been postponed again and another meeting will be convened after reaching a consensus

Simara: The sixth municipal assembly of Jitpursimara Sub-metropolis has been postponed again. The meeting convened on Monday at the Bakuliya Campus has been postponed due to lack of quorum.

Mayor Rajan Poudel had announced the postponement of the Municipal Assembly. He said that another meeting will be called while postponing the meeting.

The meeting has been postponed to address the demand of the municipal executive members to go to the municipal assembly only after the policy and program and the ward ceiling are approved by the executive meeting. Earlier, a meeting held in Simara had decided to postpone the meeting.

The discussion of the ward chairpersons elected from all the parties including the mayor and deputy mayor had agreed to discuss the policy and program and the ward ceiling from the upcoming executive meeting.

Municipal Deputy Chief Bhola Prasad Adhikari informed that it was agreed to go to the Municipal Assembly with the approval of the executive meeting and the Municipal Assembly was postponed accordingly.

Earlier, the meeting convened on Asar 10 was postponed due to lack of quorum.
