Simara: Elected office bearers and members of Jitpursimara Municipal Chamber of Commerce and Industry took oath on Monday. Chief Election Officer Mukunda Bahadur Chhetri administered the oath of office at a function held at the association’s office.
The election held on Saturday to select a new working committee has selected an 18-member working committee for the next term. Mohan Sharma was elected as the president of the association, Manoj Kumar Gupta as the senior vice president, Gajendra Gupta as the vice president of commerce, Bijay Kumar Sah as the vice president of industry, Prakash Giri as the general secretary, Rambabu Kalwar as the treasurer, Bishnu Prasad Adhikari as the commerce secretary and Mukesh Sah as the industry secretary.
Chairman Sharma and Industry Secretary Sah were unopposed. Similarly, Santosh Kushwaha, Asha Dahal, Raju Prasad Sah, Tasawwar Hussain, Bindeshwar Prasad Sah, Pradip Kumar and Rita Kandel were elected as commerce members.
Rakesh Prasad Gupta, Rajesh Kumar Prasad Sah and Rina Rauniyar Puri were the winners from the industry side.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the outgoing president Sanjay Sah, Ghanshyam Giri and former office bearers and members of the association.
