Entrepreneurship training started in two wards of Jitpursimara under the poverty alleviation program
Simara: Entrepreneurship training has started from Monday under the Small Enterprise Development Program (MEDPA) to be implemented in three wards of Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city.
In Ward No. 17 and 18, the training has been started targeting potential small entrepreneurs who have been selected to participate in the program. Participants will be trained on entrepreneurship in the training which will be conducted for eight days.
City chief Rajan Paudel has inaugurated the training organized under the program for poverty alleviation. In the program held in Ward No. 18, City Chief Paudel asked the participants to benefit from the training conducted according to the policy of self-employment while developing skills.
Ward president Charturbabu Wagle, executive member Prabhawatidevi Paswan, president of Small Farmers Agricultural Cooperative Society Pushparaj Khatiwada and others were present in the training opening program.
Similarly, Ward President Bhim Gantan started the training in Ward No. 17. The program was chaired by executive member Prabhavati Devi Paswan and was attended by Medpa’s Dipnarayan Chaudhary, Usha Budhathoki and others.
The program which is being conducted for poverty alleviation is going to be conducted in Ward No. 8, 17 and 18 this year. Locals selected in the Medpa program will be given hands-on training and will be provided with necessary materials to become self-reliant.
In the previous two financial years, the program was conducted in eight wards of Jitpursimara. In the financial year 2077-78, the program was conducted in wards no. 6, 19, 20 and 22 and in 2078-079 in wards no. 5, 11, 12 and 13. One hundred and eighty people were given practical training and materials were distributed from the program.
