85 people donated blood including nine women in Simara
Simara: 85 people donated blood in the blood donation program organized by Lions Club of Simara Youth on Saturday. 9 women and 76 men donated blood in a program organized at Gupta Market located in Jeetpursimara 2.
The event was organized by the Lions Club when there was a shortage of blood in the transfusion center. The blood donation program was completed with the technical support of Blood Transfusion Center Birgunj, Nepal Red Cross Society Sub-branch Simara.
Earlier, the program was inaugurated by Bhola Prasad Adhikari, Deputy Chief of Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City.
In the opening program, Trilok Bikram Shah, the president of the club for the year 2023/24, Diwakar Bhandari, the president for the year 2022/23, Sanjay Shah, the former president of the Lions Club of Jeetpursimara, Manoj Paudel, the leader of CPN UML, Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, the ward president of Jeetpursimra 2, Ward No. 14 Ward President Chayan Gurung, executive member Arjun Rasaili, Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan official Ramesh Subedi, Jeetpursimara Industry and Commerce association President Mohan Sharma, President of Red Cross Society Simara Branch Shiv Sharma, Simara JC President Laxman Adhikari and other representatives of various organizations were present.
