Journalist Bhandari was awarded with the Ghantimai Cooperative Journalism Award

Simara: Diwakar Bhandari, director of eshilalekh.com and journalist, has been honored with the Ghantimai Cooperative Journalism Award 2081. Journalist Bhandari was honored at the 12th Annual General Meeting of Ghantimai Savings and Credit Cooperative Society held on Saturday.

Ghantimai Cooperative has awarded this year’s co-operative journalism award to journalist Bhandari with a cash sum of Rs.5,000.

International Cooperative Federation Asia Pacific Director Member Minraj Kandel, president of the organization Kopila Simkhada, Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city deputy chief Bhola Prasad Adhikari, former deputy chief Saraswatidevi Chaudhary honored journalist Bhandari.

Bhandari, who has been working in the Annapurna Post National Daily for 16 years, is the director of eshilalekh.com and Suchanalaya weekly published from Bara. Ghantimai honored the journalist Bhandari by mentioning that he has contributed creatively to the cooperative and social sector through journalism.

Bhandari has previously been honored with Hatemalo Cooperative Journalism Award, Sana Kisan Cooperative Journalism Award, Simara Women Cooperative Journalism Award.

In the program held at the Devashram premises at Auraha, the organization honored senior share members, excellent students, best employees, outstanding debtors, etc.

The opening session of the General Assembly was attended by former provincial assembly member Sunder Bika, Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan Mayor Rajan Paudel, city Deputy Mayor Bhola Prasad Adhikari and representatives of various cooperative organizations and social organizations. Secretary Trilok Bikram Shah facilitated the program under the chairmanship of the organization’s president Simkhada.
