Six trainees of ANFA Academy lost their lives in the landslide
Simara: Six trainees of ANFA Academy lost their lives in a landslide at Sisneri in Makwanpur. One of those who lost their lives is Bikal Regmi of Bara Nijgadh-8. Six people, including Bikal, were swept away by a landslide while they were being taken to a safe place from the academy on Saturday morning.
The bodies of 6 people swept away by the landslide have been found. Their bodies have been taken to a teaching hospital in Kathmandu. Those who lost their lives in the landslide include Bikal of Nijgadh, Aditya Balpaki of Sarlahi, Anup Ghalan , Simon Yonjan, Diwas Baniya of Makwanpur and Riyans Aacharya of Kathmandu.
ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah has confirmed that 6 players in the Sisneri Academy were injured in the landslide. While taking the players from the residential academy operated by ANFA located in Indrasarobar Rural Municipality 4 to a safe place, they were swept away by a landslide.
Out of the 34 rescued people, 30 were taken to Kathmandu by Nepali Army helicopter. Four others are safe.
