National Photojournalism Award: Five Photojournalists Nominated from Madhesh Province
Simara: The National Federation of Photojournalists (NFPJ) Nepal has nominated five photojournalists from Madhesh Province for the National Photojournalism Award 2025.
The award selection committee has announced the names of Top five photojournalists in each of the 15 categories, which include seven provincial and eight thematic categories.
The nominees from Madhesh Province are: Diwakar Bhandari, Bara correspondent for Annapurna Post and Managing Director of eShilalekh.com, Ram Sarraf, Birgunj correspondent for The Himalayan Times, Tiwari Yadav, Birgunj correspondent for Naya Patrika Daily, Amrendra Kumar Yadav, representative of RSS (Rastriya Samachar Samiti) And Chandradev Sah.
NFPJ President Pradipraj Banta stated that one of these nominees will be presented with the award during a special ceremony to be held in Kathmandu on Baisakh 13 (April 25).
This year, the federation will honor a total of 15 individuals with the Photojournalism Award — covering seven provinces and eight thematic categories. Additionally, a Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to a retired photojournalist for their lifelong contribution to the field, Banta added.
