International Women’s Football Tournament to be Held in Simara in Second Week of Asoj

Simara: The X-treme Jeetpursimara International Invitation Women’s Football Tournament is scheduled to take place from the second week of Ashoj (10 to 17) at the Simara Stadium.
Organized by the Simara Veteran Club, the nighttime tournament will feature eight teams from Nepal and India, including Nepal APF Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Fair Football Club Dharan, Basantpur United Club Chitwan, Kurseong Goals Football Club from Darjeeling, Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society, and the organizer Simara Veteran Club. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs.5,11,111 Nepalese Rupees, while the runner-up will take home Rs.2,55,555 Nepalese Rupees.

Players who excel in their respective categories will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000 each. Coordinator Hari Chaudhary stated that the emerging player of the tournament and the Player of the Match for each day will each be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs.5,000.
To support a noble cause, organizers announced that 10% of all ticket sales will be donated to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to help flood victims in Rasuwa.

During a press conference detailing the event, local leaders and municipal representatives highlighted the tournament’s vital role in promoting women’s empowerment, physical health, and community pride, despite minor controversies surrounding budget reductions by local authorities.
