Madhesh Government Hands Over 20 Motorcycles to Armed Police
Simara: The Madhesh Province government handed over 20 motorcycles to the Armed Police Force (APF) on Thursday to strengthen border security and maintain peace and order across the region.
Home, Law, and Communication Minister Fakira Mahato handed over the motorcycle keys and bluebooks to DIG Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, Chief of the Madhesh Province APF. According to the ministry, these vehicles were provided to make border security, peace maintenance, and regular patrolling more swift and effective.
This support follows a similar initiative on Wednesday, when the provincial government provided 35 motorcycles to the Nepal Police, with Minister Mahato handing the keys and documents to DIG Om Prasad Adhikari, Chief of the Madhesh Province Police Office.
Minister Mahato stated that preparations are also underway to distribute 10 additional motorcycles based on local needs. He emphasized that the provincial government is fully committed to making the overall security system stronger and more effective by equipping local security agencies with the necessary resources.
