Jeetpursimara Women’s Football: Nepal Police Club entered Semifinals

Simara: Nepal Police Club entered the semifinals of the ongoing Jeetpursimara Women’s Football Tournament with an impressive victory in Simara. Playing their second quarterfinal match at the Simara Stadium on Sunday evening, Police defeated Fair Football Club Dharan by a wide margin of 7-1 to secure their spot in the final four.
Nirmala BK played a brilliant role in Police’s victory, scoring four goals all by herself. Monisha Raut, Samjhana Lavati, and Captain Amrita Jaisi each added one goal. For Dharan, Yamkumari BK scored a single consolation goal.
Nirmala was named ‘Player of the Match’ for her four-goal performance. The award, sponsored by Fashion World, was presented to her by Umesh Chaulagain and Rita Kandel, operators of UR Automatic Laundry, the tournament’s laundry partner.
Looking ahead to Monday, the third quarterfinal match of the tournament will take place between Tribhuvan Army Club and India’s Kurseong Girls Football Academy, Darjeeling. Minister for Education and Sports of the Government of Nepal, Sasmit Pokharel, is scheduled to visit the Simara Stadium to watch the match.
