Manoj Gupta elected as a senior vice president of Jitpursimara Municipal Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Simara: Manoj Kumar Gupta has been elected as the senior vice president of Jitpursimara Municipal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Gupta was elected by a margin of 59 votes.
Gupta was elected from the election held on Saturday to select a new working committee including the senior vice-chairman. According to the final results of the counting held on Saturday night, Gupta has received 319 votes.
Similarly, Gajendra Prasad Gupta has been elected as the Vice President of Commerce. Gupta was elected with 300 votes. Other candidates for the post Mohan Sah Kalwar got 211 votes, Arjun Lamsal 166 votes, Santosh Kumar Guptal 134 votes and Ramayan Prasad Sah 14 votes.
Bijaya Kumar Sah has been elected as the vice president of the industry. Gupta won with 47 votes while his nearest rival Deepak Gupta got 32 votes.
Prakash Giri has won the post of general secretary of the association. Giri received 485 votes and was elected by a wide margin. Other candidates for the post Laxman Adhikari got 273 votes and Anil Tiwari got 182 votes.
Rambabu Kalwar has been elected as the treasurer. Kalwar was also elected by a wide margin. Amar Prasad Yadav got 315 votes while Kalwar got 585 votes.
Bishnu Prasad Adhikari has been elected as the secretary of commerce with 227 votes. Candidate Krishna Prasad Sah got 198 votes, Gita Sharma got 143 votes, Shyambabu Sah got 116 votes, Shantakumari Bajgai (Rina) got 71 votes and Ramesh Kharel got 59 votes. Earlier, Mukesh Sah was elected unopposed as the industry secretary.
Similarly, Santosh Kushwaha, Asha Dahal, Tasawwar Hussain, Raju Prasad Sah, Bindeshwari Prasad Sah, Pradip Kumar and Rita Kandel have been elected as the seven members from the commerce side. Similarly, Rakesh Prasad Gupta got 57 votes, Rajesh Kumar Prasad Sah got 56 votes and Rina Rauniyar Puri got 55 votes.
Out of a total of 1,305 voters, 892 voted for commerce, 82 for industry and three for associates. According to the association’s constitution, the senior vice-president is automatically the president, so Mohan Sharma had already been elected president. After Sharma was elected chairman, elections were held for the remaining posts.
