Call for applications for scholarships by Simara Drinking Water Office
Simara: Office of Simara Drinking Water Consumers and Sanitation Committee has requested applications for scholarships. The office has requested applications from the families of employees and consumers who are interested in studying at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in Simara College.
The Drinking Water office has signed an agreement with Simara College to provide scholarships to five students every year. According to the agreement, the office requesting the application will recommend Simara College to provide the scholarship.
Employees and consumers’ families can apply for the scholarship. Among the applications submitted to the office, the office will recommend the names of five students, two from the employee’s family and three from the consumer’s family, to Simara College for scholarship.
The working committee meeting of the Simara Drinking Water Consumers and Sanitation Committee held on Paush 2 decided to request applications for scholarships. According to that decision, the office has issued a 15-day notice effective from Paush 17.
A few days ago, the Drinking Water office had also handed over 20 lakhs to be deposited in the renewable fund of Simara College. Kasim Hussain, chairman of the Simara Drinking Water Consumers and Sanitation Committee, handed over a cheque of 20 lakhs to Achyut Sitaula, president of Simara College.
